LOVE Island fans have turned on Chris Taylor as they accused him of “pushing” Toby Aromolaran towards Georgia Steel for his own selfish reasons.
Toby left partner Arabella Chi blindsided when he picked to couple up with Georgia S last night.
Toby and Arabella seemed to be a strong pairing and had even “done bits”, so it shocked his fellow co-stars who exclaimed “what the f**k” when he made him decision during a tense recoupling.
In tonight’s episode, Chris, who dumped Arabella in week two after she questioned how genuine he was, tried to convince Georgia S to give Toby a second chance.
In the kitchen, Georgia told Chris: “I’ve got to make a decision now really, haven’t I?”
Chris replied: “He [Toby] wouldn’t have done this if he didn’t see you both together in here and you both together afterwards.”
A teary-eyed Georgia said: “So he’s always cared?”
Chris responded: “Of course he f****** has. He’s never stopped caring.
“He just had to do what he had to do in here.”
He added: “Sometimes people just need a bit of time apart to realise how important people are to them.”
But some fans think Chris has an Arabella to be single so she’s at risk of being dumped next.
One viewer fumed: “Chris is interfering like this, trying to persuade Georgia and Toby to crack on to get back at Arabella, he wants her on his own. He’s not the Mr nice guy he makes out he is he’s manipulative.”
This person shared: “Chris is trying to isolate Arabella by manipulating Georgia into going back to Toby. ‘He always cared’…what a load of s***, he pied her in the challenge, jept making digs at her all week, was really rude to her. Chris wants Arabella on her own.”
A third agreed and said: “Arabella bruised his ego and now he wants to take revenge.”
“Chris is vindictive as f***. This is his way of splitting Arabella and Toby up,” a fourth echoed.
Another added: “Chris is so nasty, he wants Arabella gone and this is the easiest way to do it.”
But other fans think Chris is keen to win back Arabella, despite being coupled up with new bombshell Joanna Chimonides, 27.
This viewer speculated: “I’m gonna predict this now, Arabella and Chris are getting back together.”
A second echoed: “Chris and Joanna won’t work out, but Arabella about to be single and he’s gonna crack back on with her.”
During last night’s recoupling speech, Toby told the villa that “fortune favours the brave, and in this situation, you’ve got to be the bravest”.
An emotional Arabella could only say: “It’s always me, honestly.”
Viewers think the move was less about emotional connection and more about extending his stay in the villa.
Some believe the potentially tactical move came about after he and Arabella were voted the second least popular pair by viewers, while Georgia and Tom Clare were positioned second most popular.
However, he may have misjudged Georgia’s popularity with viewers.
One person commented: “Toby saw he was in the bottom with Arabella from the public vote so now he’s moving back to Georgia S.”
Another said: “Interesting Toby likes Georgia after she came second in the vote.”
A fan replied: “But that was not because of her it’s because people like Callum, If Toby picks Georgia I guarantee they’ll be the bottom of the next vote.”
Earlier today we revealed Toby and Arabella had “done bits” in the bedroom – taking their pairing to the next level.
A show insider said: “It is genuinely the most shocking recoupling we’ve ever seen.
“The entire crew were left agog at this total 180 from the lad.
“It’s like he just went ‘f*ck it’ and it’s totally jaw-dropping.
“This couple had taken things to the next level which makes this even more outrageous from the lad.”
